BitTorrent, namely BTT, is a TRC10-cryptotoken issued by BitTorrent Inc. and Tron Foundation in 2019, based in Singapore. In 2018, Tron foundation purchased BTT protocol, created in 2001 by Bram Cohen , allowing peer-to-peer distribution of large files to multiple clients. BitTorrent coin is thus based on the TRON blockchain and uses delegated proof-of-stake. This token aims to solve the current problem where the user who downloads a file has no incentive to keep it and share it on the network, once the download is complete. In that extend investors and users can receive rewards for sharing the content or for offering extra bandwidth.
