SINOVATE DIN AURORA hardfork and what it changes for investors

To fully understand the future evolution in the SINOVATE ecosystem, it is essential to understand and recall the origins and principles of masternodes. Historically speaking, the concept and vision around masternodes were brought in via the first project that implemented it in 2014: Dash, a cryptocurrency that is still unquestionably a leader in this market.

The term masternode in crypto literally refers to an interconnected machine that is part of a network. In short, a masternode is a server that holds a complete copy of the blockchain and whose mission is to provide functionalities (Proof-of-Services (PoSe)) to the protocol during the validation of transactions. The masternode system is one of the new consensus security systems as an alternative to the Proof of Stake solution. This concept, born on the Dash network, despite being present for a few years, has somehow not really evolved from its implementation in many projects. Thus, to revolutionize the crypto market and especially masternode-based systems, SINOVATE project is now bringing an entirely new evolution with the integration of DIN AURORA 1.0. SINOVATE, as a community-driven blockchain project, is putting all the efforts to reward the investors and all network participants in the long-term.

Infinity Nodes features and governance model

As a reminder, Infinity Nodes are an evolution of standard masternodes, offering a combination of features such as Proof-of-Burn (removing collateral from the supply as well as transaction fees on the network) and a set lifespan of around one year, rewarding investors with the initial investment plus a guaranteed yearly interest. This type of node helps to control inflation to benefit Infinity Node holders and incentivize the smooth running of the network for the daily operations and overtime. The governance model is also pretty innovative with a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) system powered by node democracy, with the ability to have complete on-chain node registrations and services. DIN 1.0 benefits

The integration of the Deterministic Infinity Nodes solution, called DIN AURORA, is an important transition and a great first in the history of cryptocurrencies. Indeed, it aims to replace the dash legacy masternode code and significantly improve the possibilities for investors regarding masternodes. In general, it can also be said that infinity nodes can be considered as masternodes 2.0, vastly improving the technical aspect of this type of system. The code offered by SINOVATE is designed to be undoubtedly more reliable, secure, and flexible than dash legacy masternode code.

In the original “legacy” model used by Dash, the network uses a system similar to voting systems to choose who will get future rewards. In order to be eligible for a reward on the network through this system, a person must obtain precisely 6 votes. This system, although functional for years, is gradually becoming obsolete with the arrival of deterministic masternodes. Indeed, the latter does not have any need for a voting system to allocate the rewards since they are allocated fairly and equitably via the embedded deterministic algorithm.

This solution is highly enhanced in SINOVATE through the use of Schnorr MuSig signatures as a replacement for BLS signatures. This considerably increases the blockchain efficiency by enabling a faster block processing speed, higher scalability, and a lighter consensus protocol thanks to the optimization of signature sizes. As officially stated by the SINOVATE team:

LockReward is a Schnorr MuSig signature, signed by at least N nodes in the top M of the list of online nodes (N < M). This signature is saved on the blockchain. Infinitynode LockReward is on-chain; everyone can verify that the payment is correct.

The addition of “LockReward” based on a ring model ensures a high degree of viability and security for the system, offering provably fair and fully verifiable rewards and erasing the luck factor for the investors.

Finally, DIN 1.0 is a significant improvement compared to old code to thrive against Sybil attacks. Indeed, this type of attack occurs when a user tries to take over a peer-to-peer network by creating a vast amount of network identities/nodes to have a massive influence over the ecosystem. Without going into the technical details, SINOVATE completely solves this issue as the node algorithm cannot be broken by making calculations based on the height where, at the opposite, Dash algorithm can be broken if a single person controls many nodes in the network.

At block height 550.000, AURORA Mainnet and Deterministic Infinity Node (DIN) 1.0 integration will officially go live which is a successful transition from the original Dash legacy masternode code implemented a few years ago to a custom and innovative one.
