IOST projects announces christmas airdrop for stakers
By Inkarias - 2020-12-21
The Internet of Services project, namely IOST is a blockchain infrastructure that aims to solve the biggest drawbacks brought with the democratization of chains, the scalability. Since its original launch, IOST has been working hard to develop the network and offer various incentives for long-terme success. In IOST, the staking mechanism is tied to the voting system in this network which ensure the full reliability and integrity of the main chain. In fact, investors must lock IOST coins by voting to a node in order to be able to receive regular rewards as a passive income. This process greatly helps stabilizing the network with the maximum decentralization to avoid any further issues for daily operations. With christmas approaching, the IOST team decided to launch an airdrop for the different stakers within the network.
Rules and details of the IOST airdrop
The airdrop opportunity will begins at 00:00 on December 24, 2020 and will last until 23:59 on December 25, 2020 (UTC+8). In order to join, the processus is quite simple and requires participants wishing to join to cast IOST node votes during the specified period. The votes can be cast from any platform and will be fully counted as entries for this event. However it is mandatory to cast votes starting from December 24 and not before and maintain them until 23:59 on January 3, 2021 to be eligible to receive rewards.
All participants will be receiving a share of the 88,888 IOST airdrop pool based on the proportion of their vote amounts during this same period that will be distributed in batches before January 31,2021. Any breach of these rules for the event may call into question the presentation of the rewards at the sole discretion of the IOST project.
